WordFest - Festival des Mots

En effet, WordFest est jeune parce qu’il est si léger, si souriant, se tendre comme un amour de jeunesse qui défie le temps et la gravité.  On suspend inévitablement les secondes et les minutes quand on s’y trouve. Et on détache tout naturellement les cheveux pour attraper le vent.

WordFest is young and light-hearted as youth, smiling and tender as a youthful love that defies both time and gravity.  We suspend time, the seconds and the minutes, we can’t do otherwise when we are in its midst.  Quite naturally, we loosen our hair to catch the wind.

WordFest is staged every year by the Knowlton Literary Association. We are volunteers working as a chartered not-for-profit organization.

Our goal: to bring internationally respected writers, poets and playwrights to Knowlton. We want to involve citizens from the surrounding communities in activities which celebrate and contribute to English and French literary culture. By introducing participants to the works of outstanding writers, we hope to increase their appreciation of literary art and foster literacy and verbal creativity among people of all ages and backgrounds.

Go forth….read and get ready for an exciting summer of adventure, history, learning and great poetry, graphic art and music.

WordFest est un événement littéraire présenté chaque été par l'Association littéraire de Knowlton, un organisme à but non lucratif diriger par des membres bénévoles.

Notre but: inviter à Knowlton, des poètes, des scénaristes et des auteurs de renommée internationale. Nous voulons célébrer la littérature anglophone et francophone, tout en impliquant les citoyens de notre village et ceux des communautés avoisinantes. Durant ce festival, par le travail remarquable des auteurs, nous souhaitons renforcer les connaissances de la littérature, favoriser l'alphabétisation et accroître la créativité littéraire auprès de personnes de tous âges et de toutes origines.
